I would like to apologize to all parents, students, faculty and staff on today's call on the snow. I can say after almost nine years as a Superintendent that making the decision on no school and delays and when it comes to predicting the weather is one if not the most difficult decision to make. I go with the information I get from weather broadcasts, speak to other Superintendents in our region and other local entities to make the call. I never want to put anyone in danger. If I knew that the forecast was going to be what it was I would have had a delay at the very least. Please understand that the safety and well being for everyone in SAU6 comes first and foremost. Although today's decision did not seem to reflect that. Predicting the weather is a very difficult job and I will continue to TRY to do my best. Chris Pratt, SAU6 Interim Superintendent.

Attention
Good afternoon, Michael Tempesta is no longer the Superintendent of Schools for SAU6. The SAU School Board voted to terminate him effective January 12, 2024. Christopher Pratt, Principal at Stevens High School, has been appointed as Interim Superintendent taking on all responsibilities associated with the role. Dr. Michael Herrington, currently Vice Principal at Stevens High School, will take over as Interim Principal at Stevens High School. The SAU is fortunate to have within our educational community a highly qualified administrator, with previous experience as a Superintendent, who can step into this transitional role. The SAU6 Board wishes Michael Tempesta well and thanks him for his services to SAU6. Please join us in welcoming Christopher Pratt as our Interim Superintendent. Attention
December 5, 2023 Good Morning Claremont Parents and Guardians: This is Michael C. Tempesta, Superintendent of SAU6. I am reaching out to you to let you know that last night, December 4, 2023 at approximately 8:00 PM, the Claremont Police Department was alerted by community members to an online threat concerning Claremont Middle School. The Claremont Police Department immediately notified school officials about the threat and immediately contacted the parties involved in-person and verified that it was not an actionable threat. The students involved in the incident will have school disciplinary action. I want to thank the Claremont Police department, particularly school SRO Crystal Simonds and the concerned community members who reached out to her, so that this serious issue could be investigated and resolved as soon as possible. The Claremont Police Department is also on site at Claremont Middle School today for an abundance of caution in response to neutralizing the threat. Again, I want to praise and reiterate our gratitude for the professionalism, expediency and collaboration of the Claremont Police Department and Claremont Middle School Administration to always ensure a safe school environment for students and staff. Sincerely, Michael C. Tempesta Superintendent of Schools
