Our School Board Clerk has always been a valued member of our school community. With the departure of an administrative assistant in the central office, our clerk has taken on additional duties and, in assuming these responsibilities, she has doubled her original workload.

Last night, the School Board voted to increase the clerk's stipend to compensate her for this work. None of the School Board members receive payment for their work on the board and with the schools, and this stipend is coming directly from the School Board line in the budget so that there is no budget increase at all.
