Free and Reduced Information

For any student to be able to receive free meals, families must take one of the following actions:

  1. Enroll in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

This program can be applied for online at:

  2. Submit a meal benefit application to our school district

Online applications can be submitted at:

Paper copies of the application packet are mailed to all households of enrolled students in August and can be returned to Danielle Skinner at the SAU office located at 165 Broad St, Claremont, NH 03743. Families that move into the district may receive a packet from the front office of their school.

Additional paper copies of the application may be printed from the links at the bottom of this page or requested from your child's school.

We strongly urge all families to apply for meal benefits through one of the methods listed above, even if your family has not qualified for benefits in the past. Enrollment in the meal benefits program assists our district and our students far beyond the positive impacts on student health. Additional funding for student education, technology, scholarships, and more are all tied to meal benefit enrollment.

Students who are not enrolled in free meals through one of the methods above and choose to participate in the school meals program will be charged per meal and need to have funds added to their food service program account. Meal benefit applications ARE NOT retro-active and any meals purchased before the approval date of an application are the responsibility of the families. Prices for meals in the 2023-2024 school year are
