Nichole Boynton Appointed as New Middle School Principal

We’re excited to let you know that Mrs. Nichole Boynton has been appointed as the new principal of Claremont Middle School. We received six applicants for the role, and candidates were interviewed by a selection committee that included incoming Superintendent Dr. Timothy Broadrick, two additional administrators, and three teacher representatives. We were pleased by the quality of all the applicants, but Mrs. Boynton stood out as the clear choice. She’s been the student services coordinator at Disnard Elementary School for the past eleven years, working side-by-side with Melissa Lewis, and since May 15, Mrs. Boynton has served as the acting assistant principal at the middle school.
“In the short time I’ve been at CMS, I’ve grown deep respect and affection for the staff and students there,” Mrs. Boynton said. “I know there will be challenges as we work through the summer and start the new school year, but I’m confident we’ll be able to navigate those together and come out stronger with a bright future.”
Mrs. Boynton earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont, followed by a Master of Education Leadership from Castleton College. From 2001 to 2011, she taught family and consumer science in Windsor, VT. This was followed by two years teaching in the alternative high school program at Mascoma Valley High School in Canaan, NH, before joining the Claremont School District.
“Nichole’s devotion to Claremont and its students and staff will be critical in helping CMS navigate the challenges ahead,” said Dr. Broadrick. “Claremont is fortunate to have people like her, who are steeped in the community culture and respected by teachers, students, staff, and families alike.”
Now, we are beginning to advertise for assistant principals, one to work with Mrs. Boynton at CMS and another to fill her former position at Disnard Elementary School.
